Tuesday Tutorial for the week!

So for my prism i needed to add some more illustrations. One of my titles were called "Deeper Waters" so i knew i wanted to do something with water ripple or drops. And wasn't exactly sure how to do it so i looked up some tutorials and then changed mine around slightly.  Here is my version and the link is posted below! Comments appreciated :)

Cover Idea

So I'm currently working on a tutorial for my cover idea But im not doing everything that's in the tutorial. The tutorial is posted below and is very challenging for me But i at least wanted to generate my idea for the cover.

ok so I'm mainly doing this tutorial for the use of the skull. It wont have all the fluttery hearts behind it and i want the title of my magazine kinda coming out of his mouth. The name of my magazine is Inspiration and the sub line is  " Imagination is more important than knowledge." So then my idea is to have objects coming out of the skull...objects that are representational of what material is in my magazine and objects that represent a vivid imagination.

Tutorial Tuesday

it's supposed to be the iron man type tutorial but i was having some technical difficulties. The problem i got stuck at was when the tutorial told me to merge the layer set and then desaturate and for some reason i could not get my layer to merge. I will play around some more with it and hopefully get an updated final for this tutorial.

So the book is just a stock image because i wasn't sure how to actually illustrate it. But I thought it would be a cool idea to have a book with pages turning and having prism rolling off the pages.

playing around with the text. I do not like the font for on creativity but this is just to give an idea of what I'm kinda looking at. I want to make the letters kinda ornate...but not to the point that you can not read what it says and then in the layout i will tie in the little ornate aspects throughout. The one with the coffee cup and post it will go along with my pay attention and give a shit article and i would like to add a coffee cup ring/stain onto the post it.

Tutorial/Prism Cover Idea

so here is my cover idea for prism...rough up. my idea is to have inside the word prism the names of the authors that will be published throughout the magazine. For now just to get the idea across i have famous authors inside. Since the students are having their work published in the prism i thought it would be a cool spinoff to have the authors "in the prism" and i haven't added it yet but there will be letters falling off prism towards the typewriter.
